This image of a secretary bird was created in the Kalahari desert during an expedition in the dry river beds of Nossob and Auob rivers. The painterly effect of this photograph is created using various techniques and settings during the time of exposure. The “egg” in the picture is not actually an egg but a light-coloured stone. The secretary bird doesn’t lay eggs on the ground.
